Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company (Europe), Ltd., Slovakia Branch is the first fully operational branch of the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group in Central and Eastern Europe.

In relation to the business integration with Aioi Insurance and Nissay Dowa General Insurance, "Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Holdings, Inc." changed its corporate name into "MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc." on April 1, 2010.
